Why did the 'For You' tab get deleted?

Why did the 'For You' tab get deleted?

Although I have previously mentioned this, it has been a very long time since the 'For You' tab has been deleted and I still find myself muttering about the decision daily.


The 'For You' tab allowed me to virtually instantly access the files I access most often.  It was one of the great features that have been deleted over the years, but this time I am going to squeak until either someone puts some grease on the wheel or I find a shiny new cart for the wheel. 


It would be very easy to include the 'For You' tab as you already have the code for it.  The only reason it is not there is because someone the doesn't use it and travels in a circle of people that also don't use it has made an executive decision to remove it from everyone that actually uses it.


I am tired of hearing the same empty claims from the majority of tech companies about how they care and find our feedback important only to completely ignore us; generally through a response or email that claims "<insert bureaucratic garbage here>".


If there is a 'real' and 'quantifiable' reason to remove the 'For You' tab, then post it here for all to see.  I look forward to someone from Dropbox humiliating me publicly with real facts.  I don't like crow, but if I'm wrong, I will dine on it with a smile.


Your handling of this call out (assuming it doesn't get deleted) will be an accurate representation of your inner truths regarding the user experience altering changes you make to your product.

The changes that our developers make to our products, platforms, plans, etc., are made according to user feedback and many other parameters.
