Why don't track changes work in Dropbox?

I made track changes to the WORD file I am sharing with an author in Dropbox. When he opens it, he can see the track changes, but when he clicks on one to accept it, he gets the reply that there are no  track changes in the document.


Any thoughts? Thanks.

May I ask how are you two sharing the document? Do you use a shared file or shared link? 

 

Also, do you use the app, or the website?
