about risks about putting dropbox folder in an external hard drive

Friends, about the risk of losing data if an external drive, where is the Dropbox folder, becomes inaccessible, what do you think, to avoid this risk, to include the external drive in the Time Machine backups (Mac)?  In case of this type of problem, we could restore a yesterday backup, no?

Maybe I'm confused, but if it's a dropbox folder than it's synced to the cloud. You can access it anywhere an any device.

But I'm all for data redundancy. Backups of backups. I got all my dropbox data on a mix of external and internal hard drives.

Ok I think I get what you are saying. Those quotes you grabbed were from a 2017 post, I wonder if it's any different now. Maybe a dropbox representative will drop in soon.

Is the data on this external drive something you need access to everyday?

Does the data change often or is it archival?

No personal descriptions of the data needed.

Answering your questions: 1) I will need to access the external drive files several times a day, including my Documents folder. 2) This won't be archival.
