Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Dear, after a crash on my wife's computer I decided to pay for Dropbox to back up her files safely in the cloud. I installed DropboxBackup on her computer, and set it up to backup her files.
On my own PC, I accidentally accepted a prompt of the Dropbox app "do you want to restore a backup?", such that all my wife's computer's files (which were in the dropbox backup) are now downloaded to my PC, too. Due to this, my harddisk is very full.
Is there a way to delete that downloaded backup safely from my PC? Of course, the backup in the cloud must be kept safely there. I tried to delete the folder DropBoxBackup, but that is not allowed.
Thank you for your help!

Hey @tgoedeme, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Can you please clarify how exactly did you try to delete the backup and send us a screenshot of the exact error you're getting?
Have you tried adjusting your backup settings in the app's preferences perhaps?
Let me know and we'll take it from there, Toon.
