We deleted one member from our dropbox account. Now we get a mail saying: You recently deleted 13299 files from your Dropbox account. We definitively did not intend to do that. Also we cannot get clear which files that would be. Were they perhaps just counting the files the deleted member is not accessing anymore?

Could you please clarify how are those actions logged in your events page?
Also, are you all part of the same team account or are you all using individual accounts?

Thanks for looking in to this.
All 3 of us have individual accounts. I deleted 1 member from one part of the files. I also hand-deleted 61 files.
In the events page nothing shows up about the 1 member leaving the group. Meanwhile, where it used to say "shared with 3 members" it now says 'Shared with 2 members", so something has gone right.
The mystery remains about the mail saying "You recently deleted 13299 files from your Dropbox account"
Hi @Jetje26, did you move files from a shared folder to a private folder, or vice versa?

Did you manage to restore the files successfully?
As for the root cause of the deletion itself, do you use our desktop app? If yes, is it possible that you moved the content out of your Dropbox folder?
