miia files due to hacked laptop

miia files due to hacked laptop

Hello,

Recently my PC was hacked and all files were encrypted and converted to .miia extension. There is no way that I can access the file without paying ransom and then unlocking it.

unfortunately my dropbox account was synced with PC so all my files in dropbox also got updated with this new name and all my dropbox data became useless.

Is there a way that I can restore all my files in the account with n-2 days of data so that I can simply ignore the threat and have my files from dropbox as saviour.

any guidance appreciated.

Hi

You can look at https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/security/ransomware-recovery for help.

To do a rollback you need to make sure the device is cleaned of the virus first and then follow https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/restore-delete/rewind. Note that you can only do this as a paid user. If not you'll need to recover things individually.
