I noticed a file is missing from my dropbox account and I don't know how to locate it.  When I looked up information it said to go to the 'deleted' file and find it there...but I don't have a 'deleted' file to go to.  Now what??

Hi @KimM1362 - sorry to hear about your missing file

Could you please take a look at your events page and let me know if you can see any sign of it there?

This is the place where all uploads, edits, and deletions are normally logged, so it should give you a hint or two.

Thanks Walter....I used the link in your message and found my events.  I was able to locate the missing document on the list - it even shows that I updated it a few times.  The problem I have is that when I open any of those documents, though it shows how many KB the doc is, when it is open it is blank.  What happened to all the text??

Hi @KimM1362, could you check the version history of the file to see if there are any copies of it with the text fully intact?

I see NO option that says 'version history' or even 'activity'.

If you click the file to view it on the site, could you attach a screenshot showing the options you see when clicking the ellipsis button at the top?

Sorry to jump in here @KimM1362!

Are you using your phone to post here? If so, it's possible you won't see the camera button.

Can you try logging in to the Community from a computer instead, so you can send us the screenshot?
