how do i get it back or speak to someone who cna help me - this is a total nightmare - entiore buisness built on dropbox for 10 years!!!
don't tell me, I'm afraid I'm in the same situation: today I receive an email that says:

The <example> team has been disbanded from Dropbox. Team folders have been converted to shared folders and all bpm_Cst groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan

So ...? where and, above all, how can I recover my data?
Has anyone else had a similar problem?

i signed in to the other account on a sperate browser and retrieved all = lengthy chat later have had to upgrade to a size i do not need - but still cant link personal account VERY DISSATISFIED - bloody mess they have created here - got to catch up on my wokr so will come back ot it later

This just happened to me to. ALL MY WORK FILES ARE GONE WTF???? they are not in the shared files. How do I get them all back. This is ridiculous!!
PLEASE HELP!!!
I've been with DropBox for years. At some point Team accounts were introduced and I used one for all my client work storage and sharing. I'm only one person so I don't have a team working in it. Yesterday I got this email:
The (name) team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all (name) groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan.
Now YEARS OF WORK I had saved in my work (team) folders are gone. They are not in shared folder like you suggest.
Why the hell would you just delete my files with no warning or chance to back them up. This is absolutely insane
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET MY FILES BACK!!!!!

Did you previously have a free team that was recently disbanded?
Have you taken a look at this page, to see if you can find your folders/files?

Yes I had a personal account then was offered that team account. Not sure if it was a price increase too.
The link you had me look at only has a few of all my work files. There are many very important files missing now.
I can't believe DB would just delete files without any warning or chance to back them up a different way. The whole reason I've been with DB for years was the security that my stuff was safely stored.
Please Please help me recover years of work

Hi @RFFFFFF, since you mentioned you were part of a team, is it possible that your personal account was connected to a work account which was under another email address you have access to?
Could you try accessing that account to see if your files are there?

No I was the only one in the "TEAM" I have always just had one email linked to my account both personal and team. When you rolled out teams I thought it was just another way to share with work clients. So I started using that to store all my all work and would sometimes invite a client to add or download files as I was working on them. The majority of my work/life were in the TEAM dropBox folders I will not only be losing clients that I no longer have there files but will be devastated by the years of lost work you guy just decided to delete PLEASE PLEASE help me recover those
