i want to leave dropbox, how do i save files that ive uploaded?

Hey @Imgramps, thanks for reaching out to us on the Dropbox Community. 

 

In general, if you want to uninstall the desktop app, you can do so by following these steps.

 

Once you do this, the Dropbox folder will become like any other folder on your computer that doesn't sync online anymore.

 

This means that you can edit, delete, or move the files inside of it and it won't affect the ones in your Dropbox account.
