My files were deleted by ransomware into one folder. The folder includes the following file (444.exe) which I recon is part of the ransomware attack. The restore function does not allow me to select the files, I have to restore the complete folder. Will the above mentioned file cause any further necryption to my dropbox files and folders on restoration. I have closed dropbox on the infected pc, thus only working on the web dropbox. Please assist urgently

Morning Walter,

I've logged out of dropbox and done all the required steps as per the Help Centre Article. However my problem is the following:

The hackers deleted all my files and folders together with what I suspect to be one the ransomware files.  Please refer to the pics attached.I cannot restore my files, file selecting them. If I restore the complete folder as per pic no 2 the ransom file would also be restored. I'm afraid to restore the 444.exe file as I do not know what the .exe file will do once it is restored. I cannot afford to loose my files and would appreciate all the help I can get.Deleted FilesDeleted Files
