I cancelled my palan and lost all of my space on dropbox. I thoght I backed it all up and deleted the files and then I found out that the back up is only empty folders. I need to get in touch with someone on dropbox to see if they have any access to my files but I can't get any email address or anything!!!

Hey there @noganv; welcome to our Community!

If you're referring to permanently deleted files, I'm afraid we won't be able to help restore them from our end.

Otherwise, you can check your deleted files page or the events page to see if you can restore any of the missing files from there.

Keep me posted anyhow!

Thanks Walter

Sadly, your answer leaves me with little hope. I'll try to restore my files through my PC.

Thanks for the quick reply

I  got the same issue. That issue came  since Dropbox made update to a new version and the Dropbox app or ...something else........made a change  into my pc. The path C:\Users\ My PC' s name(Username)\ Documents,  without me being informed, changed  to   C:\Users\ Dropbox (Old) \My PC' s name(Username)\ Documents .   I was hoping that Dropbox would address the issue 'cause I  've been supporting Dropbox for almost the 10 years past  suggesting it to dozens of  people.

Good luck....!!!

I  simply asked Dropbox  to restore the folder " My PC ( ΑΓΗΣΙΛΑΟΣ-PC)" and I got the same answer like you.

Hi @higgs123456, it sounds like you used the computer backup feature, since you're referring to that folder structure.

If there are any deleted files, try recovering them from the Dropbox site.

If the missing files weren’t syncing to your account, then it wouldn’t be possible to recover them from the site. However, it might be possible to recover the files from the local machine from the recycle bin, or using a third party app or service to do so.
