Re: Stable Build 24.4.16

Hi -- could you please tell me what the actual release date for Dropbox version 24.4.16 is?

Under "Preferences", I can see "Dropbox v24.4.16 uses open source software" -- but what is missing is a declaration of the actual release date.  (By the way, the date should be given in a clear, unambiguous format -- please do not give the month merely as a number...it is always best to spell it out, since 04/10/17 could mean April 10 2017 in USA but not in UK. Germany, Australia, Canada, etc.).

I have been using Dropbox Pro for some time now, and I am generally very pleased with the uniquely powerful automatic synchronization capabilities that it brings to all my computers.  But unfortunately, Dropbox has not been 100% glitch-free for me.  So, I hope that this 24.4.16 release will solve the problem of Dropbox mysteriously deciding (upon a computer reboot) to re-index all my files (about 200,000 files) and then it says "Uploading 6530 files"...even though none of the files have actually been changed.  I have been incurring high bandwidth-usage fees as a result of this unnecessarily reuploading, and I am eager to see the problem solved definitively and conclusively (especially since it seems to have a history, judging by the dozens of past postings on this topic, on this community forum).

Re: Stable Build 24.4.16

I got it 20170420, was pretty obvious as after auto install it restarted itself and failed

(on OS X 10.9.5 with dropbox dir on a nfs mount, likely what upset it). Now it won't start

Re: Stable Build 24.4.16

As soon as this version was released, our Dropbox have crashed.  Now we cannot run it.  It says Couldn't start Dropbox, This is usually caused by permissions error. Please contact Dropbox support.  We have an installer for version 21.4.25. We downgrade to that and it was ok and stable until it autoupdates to 24.4.16 and Dropbox crashes again. Below is the error in /var/folders/zz/zyxvpxvq6csfxvn_n000c9nw0032dg/T/dropbox_error_Rvne3.txt

Re: Stable Build 24.4.16

For those hitting the "set_read_only" errors, the newest build should fix that:
