Add Folder Member Api returns null
i was trying out the /2/sharing/add_folder_member api and everytime i'm receiving null as reponse, when i check the file, members has been added successfully, but the response is always null.
I also check the web interface, i tried to add a member through my dropbox web interface and check the add_folder_member api its response too was null.

milankj, returning null means "nothing" and nothing, on its own in context of add member to folder, means that error doesn't exist. So congratulations - as seems, your calls always suceed. 😉

If my memory is correct i think when i tried the api last day i got a response containg some ids and shared emails.
Was the response changed or has it always been like it.And earlier i tried to share a document in which i only have viewer permission, through api. The response was null, and obviously the doc was not shared.
So is there any way i can identify through the api response whether the doc was shared or not

I have no idea what you have tried. Most probably, it was something different. There is nothing Changed (as far as I know).

milankj, try investigate sequentially (one by one). Are you sharing folder or document (i.e. file)? Are you sharing it or member adding? Is it shared already or you just started? What API endpoint is in use - /2/sharing/add_folder_member or not exactly (you cannot use the same endpoint for document)? Clarify to yourself what you're doing and ask what you want to know if you need some help still.
Good luck.

milankj It is the expected behavior that when a /2/sharing/add_folder_member call is successful, it will return a 200 status code with nothing in the response body, as there is no additional information to return. That has not changed and you can find the documentation for it here.
If something isn't behaving as expected/documented, please share the exact steps and code to reproduce the issue.
