Discuss Dropbox Developer & API
Hi there!
I'm using Paper at my agency and we love it. Our goal is to make it easier to share documents with our clients. Currently, we are managing sharing by sending links to documents or inviting collaborators, but we're looking for an easier way. Ideally, it would be possible to grant a client access to all Paper documents containing a given hashtag.
For example, we could create a #clientx-public hashtag for Client X, and then give them a link which would allow them to see a list of all documents containing that hashtag. Then, we could apply #clientx-public to any docs we want to share with them.
Has anyone heard of automation which would accomplish something like this?
Thanks!!

Dropbox itself doesn't offer an automation like this, but if you're a programmer or are working with one and want to implement something like this, you could use the Dropbox API to do so. The Paper endpoints are currently in transition though, so I would recommend reviewing the Paper API Migration Guide for information on what functionality is available:
