Server Error 500 requesting OAuth 2 access token

Hello Community,

I have just created an app for the dropbox API.

I have entered my local development URL in the OAuth 2 section, and added it.

Upon clicking 'Generate access token' it throws a post 500 error, and I am not able to get a token.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

I still wasn't able to generate the access token.
It always says "There was a problem completing this request.".
Is it something I am doing wrong, or is my account corrupt?

Thanks for following up. This is an issue on our side, but I don't have a timeline for a fix right now.

It appears to be due to the app folder name set for your app. You may be able to work around this issue by changing the app folder name setting for your app on the App Console:

https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps

That is, this can occur when using some characters in the app folder name, but I don't have specifics on exactly the set of problematic characters.

Dear Greg, I used a Japanese folder name in the beginning. When trying with an English one it worked.
I guess folder names do not support Japanese in dropbox Apps yet.

This should be fixed now. Please try again and let us know if you're still seeing any issues.
