Thanks for the idea, I know jumping between multiple applications can be a pain. At the moment our focus is more on integrating everything into a smart workspace, taking existing tools like Slack and Zoom and building an ecosystem where they work in harmony, rather than creating our own.
Within the Dropbox desktop application you can comment on files, creating threads... though this isn't what I'd describe as a "chat" interface.
It's a very interesting idea, so rather than mark it as something we're not working on, I'll leave it here to see if it gathers interest by way of upvotes.
I would strongly agree this is a must have in 2022. Look at Twitter spaces. The ability to chat at the same time as work is a key feature that is missing here. My friends are technically challenged as it is. Hard enough to get them to adopt dropbox, and paper, and then another chat tool on top.
I love dropbox and paper, but I am having a real hard time finding others to join me.
