detailed search function to view and manage external collaborators that have file access

detailed search function to view and manage external collaborators that have file access

I suggest that in the next software update Dropbox includes a search function for external collaborators that allows to see to which file folders and files each of the external collaborators has access to. Currently it only shows the number of files external collaborators have access to but not which files and folders correspond to that file access. It is a very time consuming and tedious process to actually determine which files and folders they have access to. The current version of the software already knows how many files they have access to so the knowledge is already embedded in the data base except it is not searchable.

I have the following proposed solutions:

A) I suggest to be able to double click each collaborator that shows up in the current search function and then displays all the files they have access to.

B) In addition it would be great to have a viewing option in the file directory tree where one can instantly see who all has access to each folder and corresponding files without having to click on members list. It would be especially easy to see that from the integrated desktop version of Dropbox on your computer. It should be available for any team member to see and administrators should have an ability to change file access for external collaborators from the desktop version as well by simply clicking on the external collaborators names in the desktop file directory tree. Of course all the same functions should be available from the web version as well which is currently the default means of administrator functions in Dropbox
