How about a way to resize tables in Paper docs?

How about a way to resize tables in Paper docs?

If I create a table in the web client, it is too wide to view on my phone. You are then stuck in that very awkward swiping right and left mode in an attempt to see everything.

Switch my phone to landscape? If only. Nope, still doesn't fit.

Attempt to modify table width on the web client? Doesn't seem to allow it - moving the margin right and left only changes the width of the last column.

Tables are good, let's fully support them!

I have the same problem.

And the funny thing is:

I exported the template I created in Word, converted a part of the table in normal text, imported the modified document in Dropbox Paper, and then , when I looked at it on my iPhone, the tables behaved as hoped, displaying whole lines, even with the phone in vertical mode.

Maybe a snippet of code can help us here?

To the OP,

if you have access to Microsoft Word and want to use a workaround:

create your template in Word. When you insert a table, make sure to set the table width property to 100%. Then import your table in Dropbox paper, as a template.

It seems to work. The way Dropbox will adapt the content of the cells after that, I do not understand. But the table should be wholly visible, even in vertical mode, on your phone.

Hey peeps!

Just to update here, you can now adjust the width of table column within Paper by dragging the margins between the columns! :champagne:
