Will Dropbox Paper for web consider support offline mode just like google docs in the future?
Hey there @Juan R.3 - thanks for using Paper!
I wanted to also thank you for taking the time to share your desire to have offline access to your Paper docs. The Paper iOS and Android apps support offline access and editing, however, this is not possible on https://paper.dropbox.com/ currently.
As we’re tracking this and actively working on improving Paper, I’ve recorded this feedback for the team to inform the ongoing development of Paper.
Please let me know if you have any other feedback or questions and happy November!
Does anyone know when dropbox paper will be available in a format for on/off-line desktop use on Mac?
I love Paper but I'm dying for a desktop app, even if it's just a webview in a native wrapper. This would go along way towards helping stay focused given the 50 tabs I usually have open for work. I've tried various hacks for launching a website as an app but none of them work properly.
I also would love offline access to edit & save docs.
Moreso than adding new embeds and content types, I feel these changes could go a long way towards supporting writers and creators who are often working and planning from laptops, whereas mobile is for saving files and quick edits or notes.
I think quite a few people would love to see this as well!
I know I'd love a desktop app too! I already struggle to manage all of the tabs I constantly have open for research. This is a major drawback for me, but I absolutely love dropbox and want to figure out how to utilize this.
Any updates to this request? It has been some time. Is it that the Dropbox team is so dismissive of the Mac users that you won't create an app like ALL your competitors?
Competitive apps have Mac OS apps – Dropbox Paper needs to catch up.
I agree. So many loyal dropbox users have raised this. Can't understand why dropbox is not addressing this.
Yes, I too see Dropbox Paper as the best note taking application. OneNote by Microsoft is decent but being limited to only 3 series of folders is absurd. I am waiting in great anticipation for Dropbox Paper to be available for Windows 10, and not as a web-browser link. I am referring to an offline model similar to how it is on android and Dropbox itself is on all platforms.
I had to switch to OneNote simply because of the fact that it is available on all platforms in an application manner. I I prefer Paper greatly to OneNote but alas I must take notes even when there is no internet and not having individual applications, therefore having to use a browser is quite annoying, so I do not do it.
