I'm trying to insert a Google Map. When I click 'show example', I see a google map and then a line with the link I entered. However, when I paste a google map link of my own, I get just the link.
It looks like Paper is having problems parsing the link, which in my test case was this:
https://www.google.ca/maps/@37.8069524,-122.4764538,2495m/data=!3m1!1e3
(notice the '.ca' and the /data, both of which are just the way URLs are found in my browser) (I'm in Canada, eh? Changing it to .com didn't help, possible because of other parsing problems.)
I tried editing my link to make it look more like the 'show example' link but that didn't work either (and was tedious; I was expecting it to 'just work' with any Google Maps URL).
Any suggestions? This was with Chrome on Win10
Thanks for testing it and confirming the problem when the Google Maps URL contains google.ca
I tried the two links you suggested (with google.com) and they worked. Also I tried another google.ca map URL and it didn't work, but worked when changed to .com
So it looks like a bug (Paper probably should accept google maps URLs from anywhere, eg., including google.ca) but meanwhile at least the workaround is easy (change it to google.com when paste-entering the link in the entry box).
