4 years of Unauthorized Charges from Lost Account

On 2016 I lost access to my account due to a security breach in my account which resulted in my password being changed. I was not able to access my data and Dropbox customer support said they could not help recover (or close) my account without the original email (which was an educational email that was no longer active). My personal information was compromised and I felt helpless. I make it clear I do not authorize any further charges. I received another year subscription charge and contacted Dropbox February 5th (ticket # 10253726) to help clear this charge and avoid future occurances of paying for an account that was no longer in my possesion. The ticket was automatically ended from my lack of ability to produce an email from an email account long cancelled.

I now have received another charge through Paypal (credit card ending 9090) for a total of $437.76. I was able to cancel further payments through Paypal but am trying to get a refund for all the years the account has not been in my possession. I've contacted customer support but no one has replied. Is it hopeless? Is Dropbox going to keep all my unauthorized charges?

Hey @dbardrof; welcome to the Community and sorry to hear about this. 

 

What I'd recommend in this case is to contact our Support team through an incognito window (to ensure you're not logged into any account) and ask for further assistance. 

 

To do so, from this page, click on the 'Need help with a billing issue?' button and submit a Help Request from the relevant option at the bottom of the page and input your payment's information along with an email address we can reach you.

Yes as stated in the post I made a support request and Dropbox has not replied in days. Thank you for the automated response.
