A former employee of mine hi-jacked my Business account, I need help getting it back.

New member | Level 2

I have been going in circles on the website and with the dropbot.  I am extremely frustrated and exhausted with this process.

I am a BUSINESS CUSTOMER who has been paying for Dropbox for years.  I have a personal and business accounts which are both linked (connected).  My former employee somehow put his name and email address on my business account, even though I paid for it with my business credit card.  He was released from work and is now working at a competitor's company and I need my business account and all my files back, but when I go to pay for my business account using the "upgrade" button, it only shows his email which I have no access to his password.  I need this and all of my files back immediately.  I need help, from a human being, I need to speak with customer service about this right away, I need SUPPORT!

Thank you for the response.

It’s quite a long story, but I wound up having to get the account name and password of my former employee, download and delete all my files, disconnect my account from his, and then upgrade my account to a service capable one so I get Dropbox service (the professional at $19.99 per month)

Dropboxer

Hey there @selfilm, I'm sorry to hear about the situation!

Since you mentioned that you were going to the "upgrade" option to pay for the account, can you let me know what plan your account currently shows?

If the account was currently on a paid subscription then it should renew automatically. This info will help me understand the current status of the account.

Also, since you mentioned that this was a Business account, do you see the other person as the admin of the team perhaps?

Let me know and we can go from there!
