About changing the billing details - will my files be safe in my account?

Hi there.

When I set-up my Dropbox account (professional version) I was living and working in the UK. I have recently moved back to Portugal and I need to change my billing details for a portuguese credit card.

I was told I need to downgrade to an unpaid basic account and then sign up again to a professional account, using the new billing details.

My question is: Does my information keeps being storaged while I am cancelling, downgrading and signing up for a new account? Or is there a risk of losing part of the existing content in my current Dropbox account?

Hi there @Joao Cardoso, thanks for posting!

When you downgrade, your files will remain safe in your account and won't be affected, even if you're using more than the free account's 2 GB space.

If you're using over 2 GB, your account will just not be able to sync any changes until after you re-upgrade your account.

When you downgrade, your files will remain safe in your account and won't be affected, even if you're using more than the free account's 2 GB space.
