Accessing file if I cancel subscription?

Helpful | Level 6

Hi, I just read on another thread that if I cancel my plan, the files I had previously synced will still be available for me to download online.

Is there a time limit to this? I’m assuming Dropbox doesn’t let me keep multiple gigs of data online for free, forever?!

Thanks

Hi @Nick H.23, thanks for posting today!

If you cancel a paid Dropbox plan, then nothing will happen to your files. You'll still be able to access and download them from the site.

All that will happen is that syncing will stop, assuming the account is overquota, so there won't be any new files added or edits to files syncing.

If you need any further details, please let me know!

Wow. That sounds too good to be true - or am I missing something?!

I pay amazing a monthly charge to store gigabytes of data on cold storage - and you’re doing it for free?

For as long as you keep your account active by regularly signing in, then yes, Nick; it would be free.
