Accidentally used my google account with wrong Dropbox account

I hadn't regularly used Dropbox in years so when I reinstalled it and tried signing in with the email I thought it was under it didn't work (I must have forgot the password) so I tried using a different email and it worked but it ended up being an account I made even longer ago and never used but I accepted the 30 day free trial and then cancelled and reset my password for the original email I tried and found out I was right and did have an account that I used under that email less than a few,months ago with files already on it but when I tried to use the free trial of Dropbox plus it said I already used my google account with another Dropbox account which was the original aforementioned accident but I canceled the free trial but still couldn't switch to my main account I already had stuff on and the error message told me to come here but isntead of directly asking Dropbox support I was redirected to asking the community if I can change the free trial, and then later normal subscription, to my main account rather than the extra one I must have made ages ago and,never used. Any suggestions how to do this?

Hi @Astropepsi, thanks for joining the Community!


It sounds like you’re trying to create the trial via an Android device, since this restriction sounds like it’s coming from Google Play, to prevent users claiming the same free trial more than once on their Google account.


If this is the case, I’d recommend contacting them directly to see if they can grant you another free trial since it was linked to the incorrect Dropbox account previously.
