Hello everyone and Happy new year.

 

I'd like to get some help from you guys.

I had my dropbox account since 2012 or smth like that...

I've always used the same e-mail and now (01/05/2021), my account was suddenly deleted and all my files were gone along with it.

I tried log in multiple times but it was in vain.

I then tried to create a new account with the same e-mail and suprisingly dropbox created a new account with my old e-mail.

 

How can i get my files back? Has this happend with anyone around here aswell?

Please, help!

Hi @GustavoPolska, thanks for posting today!

 

Have you been constantly using your Dropbox account since 2012, or did you stop using it at some point, perhaps not logging into it for a while?

 

This will help me to assist further!

Hello Jay.

Answering your question, yes. I was using my dropbox account pretty much everyday. i've never stopped using it.

The account also had some "expansion packs" from my old Galaxy phone so it also had a higher max capacity for archives on it.

Were you in a Dropbox Business team by any chance, or was it a personal Dropbox account?

Hello Jay.

 

My account was private. in 2018 i was invited to a Business Team in which i was excluded in early 2020.
however, the files i'm talking about were in my personal dropbox, not in the team folders.
