Account closed - is there a way to get my files?

I just got an email that they closed one of my accounts for non use.  I had sent a note before about trying to figure out my 2 accounts via Fijitsu and my ScanSnap app.  I need to see how to be able to get to it and get my docs downloaded.  I see an old posting from 2017 but no answer and figure may be different now.  There was no warning in order for me to grab the docs, please help.  I'd like email notification but don't see where to enter my email.  very odd

Hey there @Rich9K, I hope you're having a good day so far!

 

If your account was to be closed due to inactivity, you should have received multiple emails prior to this occurring. 

 

So if this is the first email that you've received about this, it's most likely a prompt to let us know that your account is still active.

 

Can you try and sign into that account using the email address where you received that notification? If you get an error message then please send along a screenshot without any personal info.

I got an email today that it's been reactivated.  Thanks!  FYI this was the first email I got:

 

The following information is related to the Dropbox account registered under rich@****ons.

We’ve noticed you haven’t used your rich@*****tions Dropbox account in over one year and have closed your account for you. Devices connected to this account have now stopped syncing. Any remaining files in your account will be subject to deletion.

 

I will go in and download any files needed, then figure how to close it for now.

@Vejuna if your Dropbox account has been closed for inactivity, it will not be possible to regain access to your files. Just to be sure, however, I suggest writing in to our support agents directly from this page https://www.dropbox.com/support, using the email address that is associated with your Dropbox account. 

 

@Rich9K it sounds like you logged into your account in time, so it will remain active again for another year! If you want to delete your Dropbox account at any time, take a look here https://www.dropbox.com/help/security/delete-account, or go directly to our account deletion tool here https://www.dropbox.com/account/delete. NOTE: Deleting a Dropbox Basic, Plus, or Professional account can not be undone.

 

@aj13 you can download your files and folders to your computer directly from your account online. If you have a large amount of files, you may consider installing our desktop application, so that everything will sync to your computer. Once it’s completely synced, all your files will be online and on your computer, and any changes you make in either location will be reflected on the other.

Hello , i have tha same problem my account was closed and i had a lot of file there
I just got my email pasword back so i haded dhe possibility to enter on my dropbox
How i can recover my automaticly closed dropbox

Can you clarify for me, when you re-entered your account did you sign into the existing account or create a new account under the same email address?

 

If your account has already been closed due to inactivity and you created a new account under the same email, then I'm afraid there isn't much I can suggest. The account would not longer exist and so the files inside wouldn't either.

My account was closed due to an innactivity i havent opened a new with the same email
i wanted to reopen it at least to have access on my photos
