I'm subscribed to dropbox plus through iOS. I was late with my monthly payment. My account was downgraded to basic. Because my account is now basic I can't contact customer service other through a bot (Jesus! - it's the most useless piece of support tech on that entire site). 

Now I cant use my dropbox services at all since it is downgraded to basic.

 

This is a tad bit frustrating, to say the least...

I found a solution.

 

I uninstalled the dropbox and reinstalled it on my iOS device, and uses it to validate the receipt I had with Apple. 

 

Seemed to have worked - not sure while Dropbox OR Apple support doesn't have that as a step. Wasted countless hours looking for a solution.

I am still waiting for someone at dropbox support to get back to me!

Guys please, it's getting really frustrating by the hour.

Dropbox Support doesn't work on the weekends. You'll need to wait until Monday at the earliest, though I suspect you'll need to contact Apple since the purchase was handled through the App Store.

You should be able to just go to the app store and re-upgrade. If your payment failed and thus was downgraded you can just upgrade when its sorted.

That's the whole issue, my payment did not fail with iOS. I even got a receipt of payment 4 days ago and proof that the funds went off my account. 

So if I re-upgrade, I will be subject to a double deduction which makes no logical sense. 

I am thinking, it's a case of payment not allocated properly or not allocated to my account yet HENCE my insistence to speak with Dropbox support and not the useless BOT.

I was informed that Dropbox Support does not work over weekends so, let us see how effective they are, if and when they are back at work.
