Avoiding unwanted notifications

Avoiding unwanted notifications

Helpful | Level 6

My free Cropbox has 13.8Gb capacity and contains 12.5Gb of data.  This is all I need and I am not likely to fill up the remaining 1.3Gb, but several times a day I receive a notification "Your Dropbox is almost full" and an invitation to upgrade.  Is there any way of stopping these notifications?  (I know I can stop them for up to a day in Settings, but I want to stop them permanently).

There is an option in the Windows OS to block any notifications from Dropbox, though this would affect all the notifications, and not just the quota level prompts. This can be disabled in the settings.using these steps from their site.

Hi @Petrol, thanks for messaging the Community!

Currently there isn't an option to permanently disable the notifications for quota usage.

If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can take this into consideration for the future!

OK, thanks, Jay.

I wonder if there is any way in Windows itself to block the notifications.

Thanks again, Jay.  That is helpful.

It is a shame to have to disable all Dropbox notifications, but it's better than being bombarded with the out-of-space warning every day for the rest of my life.  Hopefully Dropbox will provide an option one day - but I guess I won't know about it, since I will have notifications turned off! 🙂
