Hi,

I have a Dropbox account on an old email address and I wished to update with a new email address in order to recover my files. When I tried to sign in (with a password which I think should be correct), a security code was sent to the old email. I believe this is because I have not sign in to the Dropbox account for a few months. However, I am unable to access the old email at the moment. Is there any way to solve this?

If you're unable to sign into your Dropbox account and you no longer have access to the email address associated with it, then there's no way to gain access to the account. Any method to reset your access would be sent to the email address on file for your account. You can try the Support options available to you, but you may be out of luck.
