Can't download folders with comma in name

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

I'm bumping into what seems to be a known issue: Dropbox has a problem zipping up folders that have a comma in the name. If you attempt to, you'll get an error.

Is there any way to do a bulk search-and-replace on commas in folder names? We've got a giant archive of files and folders, so it can't be done one-at-a-time.

Thanks!

Mark

There is no bulk rename I'm afraid :(

Are these files already on a machine somewhere with Dropbox installed or not? If so you may be able to find an app that can do it for you

Currently there isn’t a function like that on the Dropbox site.

As Mark said, if the Dropbox desktop application is installed and syncing, then there are a few freeware apps that could do bulk renaming of files and folders.
