Can't get to one of my accounts

I have two dropbox accounts. Each account has it's own email address. The accounts arenot synced. For some reason, and I don't know why, both email addresses are now pointing at the same account. I can't get to the second account. Dropbox support keeps telling me to change the passwords! The account that I can't get to of course has the most important files! I'm still waiting for support to get back to me. What can I do??

God I wish they had people you could talk to!

Hey there @AJDC_CJDG,
 
If you are signing into Dropbox online with different email addresses then they won’t be pointing towards the same account. You can confirm this by signing into both accounts and going to your account settings page here, which shows you the email address associated with the account you’re signed into.
 
However, to get to the bottom of this we would need to discuss account specific info and unfortunately the Community is not the place to do so as this is a public forum. I’d strongly recommend to continue this through our Support channel with the agent handling your case.
 
I’ve made sure to pass along your comments here to the open communication you have with my colleague so they can further assist you. Apologies for not being able to help much further here on the Community, but please keep your eye on your inbox for my colleague’s reply.

If you are signing into Dropbox online with different email addresses then they won’t be pointing towards the same account.
