Can't sign in to paid account after accepting sharing invite.

New member | Level 2

I need to move my paid Drop Box account to a new computer. A client invited me to share images using the e-mail address I was using with that client. I accepted and now I can't sign on with the e-mail address to which the paid account is connected. I'm sure I'm being billed on the latter but need to access my main account with the new computer.

Hi there @susanlkelley, thanks for reaching out to us here!

Can you let me know what kind of issue you're having when trying to sign into that account? If you're getting any errors, please send me a screenshot excluding any personal info.

Also, just to clarify, when you accepted the invite was this just to share files? If you have the original email, can you check exactly what the email refers to?

Let me know and we'll go from there!

I can't log on to my business account. Computer is not giving me a log on option.

I can't log-on to my business account. I am the administrator. I have not forgotten my password. Dropbox immediately brings up the last drop box in which I have share privleges on a few photographs. Nothing the bot help said was remotely close to the problem before cutting me off. There are FAQ articles that may verge on the problem, but nothing if I can't even log in. No problem with billing monthly on the account. Of course.

Thanks for getting back to me @susanlkelley!

To try and locate the Business account that you're paying for, can you try using the transaction ID you see associated with the charges in our look up tool here?

This should allow you to locate the email address for the Dropbox account that the charges are associated with. You can check out more info on the steps here.

Keep me posted on your findings!
