Hello,
How do we completely cancel a subscription and remove all emails associated to that subscribtion?
A team member at our company created a business account and added other team members to the subscription.
The team member is no longer with the company and yet our company emails are still associated with the subscription.
We need to create a new subscription for our company but our email credentials are not being eccepted by the new subscriptions.
Is this because our emails are tied to the old subscription that we cannot cancel?
If we do not have login credentials for old subscription, then how do we go about canceling it and removing all emails associated with it?
Please help!
Hello @Brandon Schultz, let's see what we can do here.
You're right, since the email address you want to use is associated with the Dropbox account that's part of the current Business team, you won't be able to use it to create a new Dropbox account.
For this reason, you'll have to leave the team that you are on right now, before joining another one.
Just to make sure that we're on the same page, could you let me know the current status of the team is by going to the Plan tab?

It looks like the team ended up in locked state.
This means that as members, you should be able to leave at any point in time.
Remember that if you're not a team admin, you won't be able to see the team content but will continue to be able to access your own files and folders.
Once you do that, you can upgrade to a Business subscription and invite others to join your team.

Has the locked state been removed?
How can we cancel this subscription with out admin credentials?
The employee who created the subscribtion is no longer with the company and we want to cancel entirely.
Will this then allow us to create a new subscription and associae our company email addresses again?

Generally, you can find the subscription that you're on by going to the Plan tab.
The only users that can disband the team are the team admins.
However, when you're in locked state, you're not being charged for a subscription.
If there is another admin, you can ask them to upgrade, and/or remove the previous user from the team.

There is no other admin user who can upgrade or remove or cancel the subscription.
Can someone at DropBox overide and cancel the subscription entirely?
We need our emails unlocked so we can create a new subscription using our company emails asap.

Since the team is in locked state, I'm afraid our team won't be able to offer much, as only the admin can change its status.
However, you can leave the team at any point in time and create a new one.
