Cannot login via the Android App

Just installed the android app on a new phone (Xperia 10 II) and whenever i try to login in my existing account i get the   "You need an internet connection to upgrade your account" eventhough i have both wifi and 4G data on.

 

Tried reinstalling, restarting the phone, changing Dropbox password but nothing worked...

It seems that the problem was too many linked devices, when i tried again at a different wifi network i got a message that i need to unlink some devices to get down to 3 as that is the maximum number supported on a free plan.

I have the same issue, after singing in it says

 

you need an intrnet connection to upgrade your account, olease try again when you are connected.

 

Obviously I am connected and dont want to upgrade my account, just access my files

Hi there @abnrml and @davecp2008, thanks for reaching out. 

 

Could you go to your Plan tab to see what sort of account you have?

 

If you find that it's Basic, could you also navigate to your Security tab to see how many devices you have already connected to your account?
