Change credit card details - Personal account

New member | Level 2
New member | Level 2

I have followed the steps to update your billing information on the help page (https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/payments-billing/change-information).

However, I do not see the Payment Method tab under Billing, only 'Licence keys' and 'Billing history'. This is for a personal account.

What are my options for updating a credit card?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @khuds - welcome to our Community!

At first, could you clarify if you're already on a paid plan with us or if you've had redeemed a licence key in the past?

You can take a look at your account's plan tab for more information:

http://dropbox.com/account/plan

If you see that you're on a Basic plan, it means you'll need to upgrade your account and not update your billing info (as there are no billing information associated with our free, Basic plan). You can find more about our current plans, pricing and upgrade your account if needed through this page: https://www.dropbox.com/plans

In case you're on a Plus or Professional subscription, you can change the billing information for your Dropbox account under your account settings:

https://www.dropbox.com/account/billing

Let me know what you find!

Thanks Walter - looks like we recently downgraded from a paid to a basic plan, so no need to update billing information.

Thank you!
