Deleting another users files from c drive to free up disk space

Deleting another users files from c drive to free up disk space

New member | Level 2

Hello,

My Surface pc was previously used by two users, myself and one other. I am now the only user but there are a large number of dropbox files, from the other user, apparently stored on the c drive.

I am no longer in contact with the other user and would like to delete all his dropbox files stored on my pc without deleting them from his online dropbox account.

I would appreciate advice on how to do this.

Many thanks

Hey @ca5941, kindly note that if the are no overlay syncing icons / on these files (thus indicating syncing), then you can go ahead & remove them from your Surface, as these are mere local files & they will not affect your colleague’s file structure in any way.

I hope my post puts your worries to rest & I’m always here if you have any follow-up questions. Thanks for posting us on our Community on the matter!
