Dell XPS 15 - Promotion 20 GB

I recently purchased a Dell XPS 15 laptop, which was supposed to come with a 20 GB storage promotion for Dropbox. I ran the program and entered the login info for an account which already existed, thinking the promotion would be conferred onto that account. My storage cap did not increase in size, so I tried uninstalling Dropbox, thinking I could run the 'Dropbox 20 gb' icon from my start menu again, but found that it was gone. :slight_frown: I'm not sure who to contact for support. thanks

Happy to help you redeem this promotion!  

If you go to the account's settings, you will be able to check whether you have claimed the space that came with your Dell pc. If it hasn't been recorded there, you can go ahead and re-install the application, following the steps in the "Get Started Guide".

Jane, is that accurate? In the past, these promotions only worked with the version of Dropbox that came pre-installed on the device, and uninstalling that version would invalidate the promotion.

Rich is correct. It would seem that if the promotion fails to apply correctly you don't have any other option but to contact support. The icon for the promotion disappears after you run it for the first time. Very frustrating. At this point I'm thinking I might just have to accept that the upgrade is lost. Definitely not an error on my part. I have completed the Getting Started page. It doesnt seem to be at all related to the promotion I'm talking about. And obviously I was eligible since it came packaged with my computer. From what I've gleaned browsing this seems to be a common issue.

It is a very specific promotion where you need to launch and run it within a few days of setting up the account and you can only claim it once. So if you've had a Dell promo before you cannot reclaim it.

I'd suggest contacting support and asking for help.

I have the same problem for a promotional offer of 10 GB for XPS 13 that I tried to link to an existing Dropbox account and it failed and cannot get to click on the promotional app again. Please help.
