Free Referral Space not showing after the user installed, log in and emailed dropbox. This has happened before. Dropbox is not wanting to award the space. The https://dropbox.com/support is a runaround for the free users, you get no where. After you log in you just see past messages. No way to send a new one. I replyed to an old message and the person told me to go to https://dropbox.com/support. Digusted with this process.
Hi there @Terry & Glenda - thanks for reaching out to us and sorry to hear about your frustration.
If you haven't received your referrals space, could it be that you've reached the maximum number of referrals possible?
More specifically, through referrals, depending on your plan, you can earn up to:
You can check more info about this from your Plan tab online.
Let me know what you find, cheers!
Thanks for getting back to me, @Terry & Glenda
If you haven't reached the maximum number of earned referrals, the users who have been invited to join Dropbox by you, must follow these steps.
They must also make sure that they sign up using a unique email address that isn't associated with an already existing Dropbox account and that they click on your invitation.
If they do all this, then you should earn the space from the referrals.
Let me know if this helps a bit more, thanks!
Have they also downloaded the desktop app on a unique device by any chance?
No, installed on a windows 10 machine. I have referred a couple others at the same workplace.
This is useless, I appreciate the concern, but this is not getting me free space.
This "community" is just an escape from Dropbox not giving you what they say they will do.
Dropbox wants everyone to have paid accounts. Using dropbox was NOT my decison, but the sofware deveploers decision of Reunion how you share the file to your iphone from your imac. .
The way we work is changing. Share and discover new ways to work smarter with Dropbox in our community.Sound good? Let's get started.
