Disconnect from a Business Account

New member | Level 2

I accidentally linked my personal account to a Business account when we had to share some documents. Now the business account has expired and we don't need it anymore. I need to get back control of my personal account. Also, there are 6+GB of files in my account but the personal allowance is only 2GB.

I can't find anywhere to unlink my personal and business accounts and delete all the files that I no longer need.

Re: Disconnect from a Business Account

Hi @DanEhrmann; welcome to the Community and happy Monday!

If I understand correctnly, you recently accepted an invite to join a Dropbox Business team - correct me if I'm wrong please.

The best way to do this is to reach out to your admin directly and ask them to convert your Dropbox account back to an individual account.

Should they stumble upon an issue during this process, you can have them check their support options to get further assistance if needed.

I hope this helps and please keep me posted Dan!
