Does "unlimited" mean unlimited?

Does "unlimited" mean unlimited?

We are considering ADVANCED ... but ...

... in the alternative we use today they also offer "unlimited" but when you surpass 5 TB the upload speed is dramatically reduced. Does Dropbox work the same way? Will some restrictions occur at some point or is unlimited really unlimited?

Hi again @TomasE, I'd be happy to help out!

With the Advanced Business plan, the space available really is as much as you need.

In terms of speeds for uploading/downloading, there wouldn't be any limitations applied from our end.

If you're using the desktop app, I would suggest taking a look at this article. The performance of the app can be affected by syncing a lot of files locally.

This does depends heavily on your device's specifications though, and some devices may not have any trouble with this, and there are also plenty of ways to reduce the load on the app.

As you know, I'll be just a post away if you have any questions!
