Dropbox accessing an old dropbox login account

Explorer | Level 4

I have setup a new login for dropbox and downloaded the app to my Windows 10 laptop.  Unfortunately when I access dropbox on my laptop it shows files related to an old id, there is no icon on the system tray.  Please advise me what I need to do.  With much thanks

Did you unlink the old Dropbox account and delete (or move) the data from your laptop before reconnecting with the new one?

If not you need to do that.

Delete all of the old data, and if its not got an icon on the status bar I'd be tempted to reinstall: www.dropbox.com/downloading

If it doesnt ask for an email and password use the following to check what email is on the account and if needed unlink the old one. Then relink the new one (making sure to have re-deleted any stray files). https://www.dropbox.com/help/mobile/unlink-relink-computer-mobile
