Dropbox has reseted password without my consent - now not able to download pictures

I've created my account with my university email address already many years ago. I haven't actively used it in the past years, so didn't remember that and of course I haven't had the access to my email since I graduated. Now I was trying to download pictures of my baby (this is the only place where I hold the pictures), but dropbox has reseted the password for me without my consent. That wouldn't be a problem, but now I should create a new one, but I cannot, because I don't have access to the email address. I cannot change the email, because the password is reseted. And cannot download anything, because dropbox would like me to confirm my email. I am so scared that I will loose all the pictures from the time my daughter was small. I also cannot make a support ticket, because dropbox would like to me confirm the email address before I can do that. Also the same if I try to share the pics..

What should I do? This situation makes me cry..

Unfortunately you are probably going to need to ask the Uni IT dept. to recreate the email address for you: https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/settings-sign-in/lost-access-email-cant-change-password
