Dropbox keep asking me to log in to an old business account, but I want to upgrade my private acc...

New member | Level 2

I consider expanding my private DropBox acccount, but i am not able to, because Dropbox keep asking me to log on to an old business account. I am not employed there any more, and my old business email no longer works.

I can not delete the business account
What am i to do?

Drop Dropbox entirely?

I just had the same exact thing happen and it uploaded files for a client onto this business account I'm not the admin of and now I can't delete the files

I'll say it again, after months of working with a client and sharing files via dropbox, today it automatically logged me into a business account of a former client and uploaded the files there and I'm not an admin and can not delete the files.

I noticed it very quickly, but automatically uploaded the files

I logged out and it tried to log into the regular email it would show that email and password and then switch when I clicked log in to the business account. The email and password with change and log me in, after logging in the 2nd time it would work... I assume this how a Phishing website would work? or something equally as crazy

Dropboxer

Hi there and @Dodagog and @jeff27, thanks for checking in with us.

At first, @Dodagog, could you send me a screenshot (without any personal info) of the prompt that asks you to sign in to your work email?

Also, @jeff27, it sounds like you may have been invited and joined a Business team, which is why you were prompted to access it, while the relevant credentials were saved by your browser.

Could you navigate to sign in via the website using an incognito window, and let me know if you get the same experience?

Keep me posted, peeps!
