I have received an email from Dropbox with a security code, but it is in Russian... While the sender seemed to be legitimately from Dropbox, it was suspicious because of the language. How can you make sure that does not happen again?
Can you just confirm for me if the email was from one of the official domains listed here? Sometimes, you may need to click on the sender's identity to see the full/actual email address used.
Also, did you take any action in your account to prompt a security code to be sent, such as signing into Dropbox?
Keep us posted!
Hi Daphne, the email came from firstname.lastname@example.org. I wanted to attach a screengrab of the email body with the full email address revealed but do no see an option on this email to do it.
As for the action, yes, I was trying to log into my account. I have a log in through another company that I do work for, so I was switching account when the promtp for the security code.
I tried to check how that setting it set in my preferences, but when I could not find a specific setting for that.
Let me know if I need to do anyting at this point, thanks.
Thanks for checking that @lribolla!
