Email used on personal account not accepted on business account?

New member | Level 2

I am trying to set up a new business account. I'm getting a message that my "Email is already in use" as I try to update it. And get verified. My business email points to my personal email, but not vice versa. I cant seem to get past this step --anyone?

Hi @Ergohand; welcome to the Community!

When you get the message that an email address is already in use, it means that there's already a Dropbox account associated with it.

If you don't have another email address to use for this purpose or if you'd really like to use that email address for your new business account, you'll need to free it up first. Please let me know if you'd like me to send you the next steps on how to do this.

It's not really clear to me what's happening here; could you elaborate a tad?

Let me know how you get on and we'll take it from there if needed.
