File requests limit - present it in a more clear way

File requests limit - present it in a more clear way

Helpful | Level 7

Hello. For the sake of providing clearer information to new users, can you update your plan features list for file requests to contain the descrtiption for limits just like Dropbox transfer has it?

File requests limit isn't obvious and requires additional investigation.

Thanks for your feedback @u_kadru

Allow me to clarify that the Dropbox transfer feature is different from file requests. Please read about Dropbox transfers here

Then also please note that you can get as many files your account fits, coming from file requests.

Let me know if you need me to clarify this further!

Thank you.

@Fiona

Thank you for your reply. I'm afraid you misanderstood my suggestion.
I am aware of both features and the differences.

I wanted to use this opportunity to suggest updating the plan comparison chart with description for file size limits per file request.

Just as there are limits for Dropbox transfer and they're clearly stated, there are also limits for file requests and they aren't stated in the plan comparison chart.

Why I am suggestiong this?

Because you need to go through help files to find out about this limit. Very hard to find. It's not obvious just like it's obvious for Dropbox Transfer feature.

  • If the file request was created by a Dropbox Basic or Plus user, you can upload files up to 2 GB.
  • File requests created by Dropbox Business team members or Professional users can accept files up to 20 GB in size.
