Have 150MB of files in my Mac Dropbox (11MB in my cache). DropBox reports >4GB used??

Oh dear. Months of stating that my Personal Dropbox is full - even though I don't share folders - have not much data in my dropbox. Little in my cache.

Is there a way of seeing what kinds of things are still in my Dropbox that are contributing to this total?

By the way, the Dropbox menu on my Mac has been starting for over 20 minutes.

Hi @Alex4D, welcome to the Dropbox Community!

I'd be more than happy to help - let's see what we can do here.

At first, you can calculate the size of a folder via the website to check out its size.

If you're seeing a difference in the total amount of storage via the desktop app and the website, could it be that you have folders selectively synced on your computer?

Finally, could you please check if there's a third party app hindering that syncing process of the desktop app, such as a security app? You could try and temporarily disable your antivirus to see if that results to a change in behavior.

Let me know what you find!

Thank you. It turns out that a folder not on my Mac but in my Dropbox was the problem:

Shared Symlink Backups

4GB of stuff I could only delete from the website. Not from the Mac UIs
