Help me reactive my first account.

Help me reactive my first account.

New member | Level 2

Hello I created this second account to be able to ask for help reactivating my first account. My first account was set up with my old phone and my old laptop both which got stolen..... I do not have my emergency pin. I am trying to follow the instructions in this discussion

I dont want to post to a community all the info that it says to. Why is it impossible to actually talk or email with a real person?

Hi @snobomo, thanks for messaging the Community!

I'm sorry to hear about this matter. If your Dropbox account was secured using two-step verification, then you would only be able to recover it using the emergency backup code generated at the time it was set up.

Generally, without this code, it wouldn't be possible to regain access to your account, or the files within. You can try contacting the team by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link.

From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter the same email of that old account (assuming you can still access it normally)

Let me know how it goes!
