How can I log out from an account on the desktop app?

Hi.

 

I have closed an account and by accident it is now open again with a wrong email. I only want to get rid of it and not hear of it again. 

I only tried to install dropbox on a new computer and now I cant log out of it and on to my actual account.

How to Sign out of Dropbox on the Desktop App

Help. I can't figure out how to sign out of dropbox on the desktop. The instructions on the Dropbox site do not help, because I don't have a dropbox icon in the system tray/menu, etc. I also don't have a profile picture or initials I can click on, or whatever else they're talking about. I can't find any way to get to settings or preferences. Help. I can't think of anything else to do besides uninstall at this point.

Hello @LRobin, sorry to hear you're having trouble with this!

 

I've just moved your post here since you have a similar question to the OP.

 

Since you're not able to see the Dropbox icon in your system tray/men bar, can you see if you can unlink your computer from your account with these steps instead?

 

If you're not able to see the device listed there, can you let me know what OS your computer is so I can have a better idea how to assist?
